James Watfa
Managing Director, Executive Solutions

James Watfa is the founder and Managing Director of Executive Solutions, one of the fastest growing talent solutions hubs in the Middle East, catering to private, government and semi government clients.

James is a highly regarded professional with over 17 years of experience in the business. He is responsible for setting the overall direction and strategy for the company, along with overseeing the company’s operational, legal and human resources requirements. His vision is to take a more active and collaborative role in delivering solutions. This vision entails working side by side with both clients and candidates, in order to achieve a perfect match. As a result of his understanding of the market environment, he was able to recognise the importance of Nationalisation campaigns, which resulted in Executive Solutions placing over 200 UAE Nationals in 2012. His foresight solidified the company’s reputation as a leader in Nationalisation and has further developed other parts of the business.

James started his career in banking and made the leap into recruitment, when he joined Hutchsons Smith in the UK in 1995 (which was later bought by Hays). Initially focused on recruitment for the IT sector, James quickly excelled and, backed with an impressive number of hires, he transitioned to managed services. In 2003 he became Associate Director and in 2005 James moved to Dubai to set-up Hays within the GCC. Two years later he decided to establish his own company   Executive Solutions.

James is a positive and creative thinker. He always sees the glass as half full and will manage to engage your full attention. Never a dull moment with James!

James holds a BA (Hons) Degree in Business Administration from Liverpool John Moores University.
